Morning Drop Off

Please remember that students should be dropped off in the parent parking lot area adjacent to the gymnasium. We have seen an increased number of students being dropped off in either the bus lanes or the staff parking lot. Both of these scenarios can lead to students being placed in harm's way. Please help us keep our students safe by dropping them off in the proper area.

Homework

In 4th grade, your kiddos will have a lot more homework than they do right now.  In order to prepare a bit for that, we will begin having more things sent home during the week that need to be completed.  Check for a big HW to be in the corner of the papers for work that needs to be completed and returned.  

Weekly homework will continue to come home in Monday's Communication Folders.  This homework is due back by Friday to receive a red ticket.  Students then have until the following Monday to turn it in before missing recess to complete it.  

Typing Camp

Starting next Monday, we will be spending some time in the Computer Lab going to Typing Camp.  It is easier to learn proper typing when we have a lot of time to practice!

Help a Teacher Out!!

While planning for our upcoming Typing Camp (oh yes, get excited - more details on that later!) I came across an adorable idea for mixing practicing with Word Work. 

I'm looking for typing keyboards.  If you have an old keyboard that you just don't know what to do with - please consider donating it to our classroom! 

Not only will it help with practicing our typing skills, but we're going to use it for Word Work during Daily 5 and practice our Word Study words!

Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow and get back into the routine!!
