Updates!
The Communication Folders are coming home today with permission slips for the Lansing Trip.
Also, last call for any chaperones - I need to know by tomorrow, February 28th as I will do the drawing Wednesday morning.
This week we will be doing several quizzes and tests on division and multiplication - please be practicing this with your child at home!
Tomorrow we will start a new unit in Social Studies - which will prepare us for our field trip!
Next Monday is a half day for students - dismissal is at 11:45.

Xtra Math and Raz-Kids
We are using two websites in the classroom and computer labs now that are also available to do at home.
I am working on creating an incentive program for those who can use these at home. Please consider working them into your child's activity time at home - especially the Xtra Math website!
"Sign In" --- Enter: rvandenberg@cppschools.com, your student's First name and last initial (ex. GiselleG), and then your student's PIN. I will resend this information home tomorrow for those who do not have the original note that came home two weeks ago.
This program is designed to improve memory skills for basic facts. Once your child masters the addition, they move on to subtraction, and then multiplication. I get teacher reports from the website, so I can view what your child does at home as well!

The students must listen to the story and read the story on their own, and then answer the quiz questions correctly to get to move on to the next level!!
Test!
So, I had an "Ahhh" moment today when I realized that we have a half day of school on Friday - and no school on Monday!!
We're just wrapping up our science unit on Ecosystems and I feel like putting the test off until next week is a bad idea. With all that time off - I know that populations and mimicry and migration will just float out of their minds and be lost forever!
So, we crammed in a Study Guide today - and the test will be Friday morning!
