Letters

This week we will focus on the letter C c (Catina Cat).   

Handwriting

We will learn the letter S this week – probably the hardest letter to write, help us practice at home!

Math

We’re going to be moving on to the number 7 this week!

Science

We are going to continue talking about animals that hibernate and where they might live.  Then we’ll move on to leaning all about bears!

School Closings and Delays

When the weather is bad, please check the TV for school closings.  Our school district is Comstock Park Public Schools in Kent County.  There is another school named just “Comstock” in Kalamazoo county.  Be sure you’re looking for the “Park” at the end so it’s the right school!

Box Top Competition is going on until the end of January - please send them in to school if you’re saving them!

End of Month – Report Cards Sent Home

This week we will learn about the letter P and the number 6 !  We also are going to be studying Penguins! 

It’s WINTER and very very cold outside!  We do go outside a couple times a day, every day – unless the wind-chill brings the temperature below zero degrees.  If your child is too sick to go outside, they are too sick to be at school.  Please send your child with hats and gloves as well!

As your children outgrow winter gear like coats, snow pants, and boots – please consider donating them to my “borrow locker” for kids who don’t have them or forget to bring them!
