Testing Testing 123!
It’s been an off week because I was out sick, but I want to get a few tests in before everyone forgets everything over Spring Break!
Tomorrow we will have our Spring Word Spelling test, along with a science test on Rocks and Minerals. Also, we will have a quiz in math on measurement. Fun, fun!

Word Study Lists
Our test scores are going down hill! This could be from the harder words, but please check and make sure your child is studying their words. I will start putting the list on www.spellingcity.com again!
Math
While we are moving on to other chapters, we are still practicing multiplication and division. Please, please, please practice this with your child. If you have flash cards, they should be part of your daily routine!!
We will have a chapter test on Measurement this Thursday.
Writing
We are just wrapping up a unit on Essays. When we return from Spring break we will explore some more fun genres, such as poetry and fiction!
Cursive
We have taken the first cursive test. Keep practicing at home!
Science
Our test on Rocks and Minerals is this Thursday!

Test and Field Trip
Our students have a social studies test tomorrow, Wednesday March 14th! Study guides should have come home yesterday, but maybe even today.
We have decided that for our very long ride to Lansing (school buses go much slower than the speed limit) that we are going to allow students to bring electronic devices to keep them occupied. If you decide to let your child do so, it needs to be noted that myself or Comstock Park Schools are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Send them with your child at your own risk!! They will be left on the school bus while we tour the capital. Again – send DS’s or MP3 players but the school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
If you are sending a lunch with your student – please send it in a brown lunch bag or some other method that is disposable. We do not have a way to carry back lunch boxes around with us after lunch.
