Communication Folders vs. Planner Binders

What is the difference between these two lovely things you may ask? Lots! Let's set some rules and expectations for each.

Communication Folders

1.  These come home in your child's backpack once a week - every Monday

2.  Any super important notes that I need you to fill out, sign, and return will be in this folder.  Please use the folder to get them back to me.

3.  If you requested paper newsletters, these will come home once or twice a month in this folder.  If you did not request paper newsletters - have no fear.  For the newsletter, I will only be copying/pasting directly from this blog onto a word document.

4.  Weekly homework will come home in this folder, along with your child's weekly Word Study list.

5.  Please have the homework completed and returned to school by Friday morning.

Planner Binders
1.  The Binder you purchased for your child is meant to hold their daily planner.  These are to live inside your child's backpack.

2.  Daily homework and special events will be written in their planner.

3. Please check your child's planner every evening, and initial the parent box.  This gets your child a stamp - and getting a stamp every day of the week earns your child a ticket.  (more on that in another post)

4.  Other papers that I get from the office will come home in this binder.

5.  Again - please help your child be responsible to return their planner to school with them - everyday

Is it possible to post the spelling words to this blog each week?
